Nicole Boeckmann is a nationally acclaimed trial lawyer and former senior federal prosecutor who advises companies and executives facing complex criminal, regulatory and civil investigations. A seasoned white-collar defense advocate with deep experience, Nicole is known for her exceptional instincts, courtroom presence and ability to navigate matters at the intersection of legal, reputational and business risks.
Clients involved in high-stakes investigations and enforcement actions rely on Nicole’s steady counsel and credibility with regulators and law enforcement to anticipate the government’s strategies and resolve matters efficiently. She draws on her extensive frontline experience participating in more than 30 trials as a state and federal prosecutor.

Prior to entering private practice with Bracewell, Nicole served for two decades at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where she rose to First Assistant U.S. Attorney, Acting Chief of the Criminal Division, and Chief of the Long Island Division. In those leadership roles, she oversaw many of the office’s most significant prosecutions and investigations, including matters involving financial fraud, public corruption, the False Claims Act, national security, cybercrime and international bribery. She successfully prosecuted, briefed and served as the lead attorney for 10 jury trials and argued multiple appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
From 1997 to 2004, Nicole was an Assistant District Attorney for the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled all aspects of criminal prosecutions from investigation through trial. She tried 25 cases to verdict, including murder, attempted murder, assault, rape, robbery, burglary, weapons possessions and narcotics offenses. Nicole was also in the Sex Crimes Unit and has extensive experience working with victims of sexual assault.
Nicole is also an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law, where she teaches criminal procedure investigations, and is a frequent speaker on a variety of government enforcement and investigations topics.
