Frank Maisano, a senior principal in Bracewell’s Policy Resolution Group, spoke with POLITICO about what could be in store if Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro joins Vice President Kamala Harris on the Democratic ticket.
“He understands the energy industry,” Maisano said. “As governor he’s been way more available and worked closely with the energy industry.”
Shapiro, who aggressively litigated against natural gas companies during his time as Pennsylvania’s attorney general, has taken a more moderate position as governor and is seen better versed in the intricacies of fossil fuel policy than some of the other people being considered as Harris’ running mate.
