The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Criminal Division has formally elevated Marnee Rand to lead its Corporate Enforcement and Compliance Unit, a role central to shaping how the government evaluates corporate compliance programs and resolves misconduct cases. The appointment comes at a moment when the DOJ’s corporate enforcement priorities, monitorship practices and policy frameworks continue to evolve under the current administration.
Bracewell’s Seth DuCharme told Global Investigations Review that Rand is a career professional with relevant experience from her time at the White-Collar and Corporate Enforcement Section.
“She’s been a repeat player in a number of the complex cases that I’ve resolved with the department, and I’ve found her to be a professional and capable lawyer,” said DuCharme, who served as principal associate deputy attorney general under the first Trump administration.
