Bracewell is recognized for its representation of Sony Music in the successful acquisition of world-renowned artist Amr Diab’s catalogue of music, a first-of-its-kind transaction for a music catalogue acquisition for an artist in the Middle East. Led by Dubai managing partner Christopher R. Williams, the Bracewell team leveraged the firm’s extensive corporate, intellectual property and jurisdictional experience to execute the transaction amidst the relatively untested intellectual property landscapes of the UAE and Egypt. Amr Diab also signed a multi-album deal with Sony Music in addition to the catalogue acquisition.
