Kate Brittingham represents healthcare providers from physician-owned practices to large hospital systems on a range of litigation and regulatory matters, with a focus on managed care litigation and disputes involving Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payor billing and reimbursement. She has experience representing healthcare organizations in litigation and arbitration involving breaches of noncompete and physician recruitment agreements, lease disputes and employment matters.

Kate also represents healthcare clients in internal and government investigations, including advising clients regarding violations of federal and state anti-kickback laws, EMTALA and HIPAA. She assists clients in responding to investigations, audits and other inquiries brought by federal and state government agencies and regulators, as well as payor special investigations teams.

Kate is dedicated to maximizing reimbursement for out-of-network providers, and helps clients navigate state and federal dispute resolution mechanisms, including the No Surprises Act and the ongoing enforcement challenges impacting providers of emergency health services.
