As the UAE moves to reduce its dependence on the Strait of Hormuz following the Mideast conflict, experts say the crisis has fundamentally reshaped the region’s investment landscape.  Bracewell partner Patricia Tiller told Energy Intelligence that the conflict has created a two-track investment environment. While some upstream projects face higher execution risks and potential delay claims, “an entirely new set of projects for Hormuz bypass infrastructure, storage, and security-related projects is emerging on an accelerated timeline.”

Tiller added “Hormuz transit risk is now a priced-in, structural feature of any UAE export-linked project.”
