HOUSTON – Financial Times recognized Bracewell LLP’s leadership in the energy transition by naming the firm a finalist for two awards at the upcoming 2023 FT Innovative Lawyers North America Awards.
Bracewell was named a finalist in the Energy Security and Transition category for its representation of Synovus Bank in its acquisition of energy transaction tax credits in one of the first signed credit transfer agreements since the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Kate H. Day and Kate Barrington McGregor led the Bracewell team on this innovative transaction.
In addition, E. Dee Martin, a partner in Bracewell’s Washington, DC office and co-head of the Policy Resolution Group, was named an Innovative Practitioner finalist for her forward-thinking advice on using hydrogen in advancing the clean energy transition.
Now in its 17th year, the FT Innovative Lawyers North America Awards celebrates the best in innovation from law firms and in-house legal teams in North America, recognizing leadership in digital innovation, strategic advice, talent management and driving positive change in the profession.
Bracewell is among the 43 leading law firms from across North America that were named finalists for this year’s program. Winners will be announced on December 4 at an awards ceremony in New York.
