Andrew Shaw will participate in a panel discussion titled “Fast-Tracking Advanced Nuclear” at the Nuclear Symposium 2026. The panel will explore new pathways for advanced nuclear licensing as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. Panelists will discuss the NRC’s efforts to modernize its licensing framework under the ADVANCE Act and shorten review timelines, as well as the US Department of Energy’s Reactor Pilot Program and the alternative pathway it provides for advanced reactor projects. Bringing together companies navigating these different pathways and policy experts tracking regulatory developments, the discussion will examine what is changing, what is working and what opportunities remain for improvement.
