DUBAI – Bracewell LLP’s projects and energy market leadership in the Middle East was recognized as the firm has been shortlisted for two LexisNexis Middle East Legal Awards 2025, which honor exceptional achievements, groundbreaking innovations and remarkable contributions to the advancement of the legal profession in the Middle East. The winners will be announced at the Ritz-Carlton JBR in Dubai on May 29.
The firm has been named a finalist for Energy & Infrastructure Team of the Year for its work on the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under a Build, Own, Operate, Transfer (BOOT) model. Led by partners Andrej Kormuth, Oliver Irwin and Tom Swarbrick, Bracewell represented the consortium comprising Vision International Investment Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC and Gulf Investment Corporation in relation to its successful bid for, winning and financial close of the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir Project.
In addition, Amelia Bowring has been named a finalist for Senior Associate of the Year for her leadership in the firm’s Dubai office and her work on several transactions, including representing Sony Music on the successful acquisition of world-renowned artist Amr Diab’s catalogue of music. She also advised the ECF Group on its acquisition of a UAE-based business, which has led to additional work overseeing the company’s portfolio of UAE entities’ transactions and corporate filings.
