DUBAI – Bracewell LLP has been named a finalist for Energy & Infrastructure Team of the Year at the LexisNexis Middle East Legal Awards 2026, which recognize leadership, innovation and excellence across the region’s legal sector. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Dubai on September 24.

Bracewell is recognized for its work representing the consortium comprising Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), Korea Electric Power Corporation and GD Power in connection with the successful bid, development, financing and shareholder arrangements of the 2-GW Al Sadawi solar PV project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Set to be one of the largest solar plants in the world, the project will contribute substantially to the Kingdom’s goal of achieving an energy mix target of 50 percent renewable energy by 2030.

Partners Oliver Irwin, who chairs the firm’s project finance practice, and Tom Swarbrick led the Bracewell team on the transaction, which has also been shortlisted for Energy/Infrastructure Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2026.
