Kimberly Pinter leverages her extensive background in tax, budget and economic policy and government relations to provide strategic insights and solutions tailored to advancing her clients’ objectives. She helps corporations, financial institutions and government entities navigate legislative and regulatory complexities in the energy, trade and finance sectors.
Kimberly draws on her three decades of experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Bracewell, she served as the deputy assistant secretary, legislative affairs (tax and budget) at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. She previously worked for Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), whom she staffed on tax reform as his legislative counsel for tax and economic policy. She has worked for Chairman Steve Chabot (R-OH) as tax counsel to the House Small Business Committee and Senator Craig Thomas (R-WY) as tax counsel, staffing him on the Senate Finance Committee where she was responsible for tax, budget, economic, accounting, corporate finance, business, pension, banking and insurance issues.
Kimberly’s private sector lobbying experience includes serving as a tax and international trade director at Pfizer, where she was responsible for government relations for all federal tax issues and trade issues involving the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America. She began her career as a corporate finance and tax director for the National Association of Manufacturers, where she specialized in international tax policy and corporate governance issues.
