Dean Hinderliter has over 30 years’ experience in complex tax analysis and planning for both domestic and international clients. His practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, including buyouts, recapitalizations and other complicated transactions across a broad range of industries, including energy. He regularly advises both public and private companies seeking structures and strategies to lower their tax liabilities.

Dean has extensive experience advising on the tax aspects of public offerings, tax-free reorganizations, private equity funds and their investments, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and S corporations. He also provides tax advice for partnerships, private equity funds, hedge funds, and limited liability companies related to ongoing operations, acquisitions, restructurings, financings, unwinds and incorporations.

His transaction planning practice includes special knowledge in the taxation of natural resources, partnership and corporate transactions involving the petroleum industry, and the formation and operation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies.
