NEW YORKForbes has named Bracewell LLP partner Seth D. DuCharme to its second annual America’s Top Lawyers list, which recognizes attorneys with outstanding track records, proven leadership in their fields and strong respect from peers and clients.

DuCharme, who chairs the firm’s national government enforcement and investigations practice, has built a reputation as one of the leading white-collar defense lawyers in the United States. His matters have included representing a global crypto company in parallel enforcement and regulatory investigations and advising international and domestic companies and financial institutions on sanctions probes. DuCharme has also handled high-profile individual matters, including a former senior government official in the Southern District of New York; a sitting Congressman in Houston; and a complex fraud, public corruption and FARA-related case in the Eastern District of New York.

Before joining Bracewell, Seth spent over a decade at the US Department of Justice (DOJ), where he held several senior positions, including Acting US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General of the United States. In addition to this national recognition from Forbes, DuCharme was recently honored as a Distinguished Leader at the 2025 New York Legal Awards, hosted by The New York Law Journal.
