Laura Gee serves as an assistant general counsel for Bracewell, overseeing the firm’s client relationships, from the initial RFP process through client disengagement. Laura assists with the negotiation of, and compliance with, engagement letters and outside counsel agreements, as well as client audits and requests for file transfers. She also develops and supervises the implementation of internal procedures related to risk management, ethics and compliance issues, and manages the conflicts team tasked with identifying and resolving conflicts of interest.

Prior to joining Bracewell, Laura was a conflicts review lawyer for an international law firm, served as an in-house lawyer for a retail investment company and practiced as a law firm associate representing clients in bankruptcy and civil litigation matters.

Laura also previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Wesley W. Steen of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
