About Brian

Brian Tompkins’ practice focuses on patent prosecution, patent portfolio analysis and client counseling. He serves clients in the software, computer and petroleum industries. Brian has also advised clients on product development strategies and has provided opinions of counsel and patent landscape analyses.

His experience covers a wide range of technologies, including process control, oilfield tools and chemicals, refinery processes, semiconductor fabrication, smartphones, enterprise software and computer hardware and networks.

Prior to his legal career, Brian spent several years working in the enterprise software and information technology industries.
