DUBAI Bracewell LLP’s Andrej Kormuth and Tom Swarbrick have been named Rising Stars by Law360 for 2020. Kormuth was recognized in the project finance category, and Swarbrick was recognized in the construction category. The pair were picked out by Law360 editors from over 1,300 submissions from leading law firms.

Kormuth has extensive experience guiding clients on the most innovative and significant Middle Eastern and African deals, including the latest wave of Middle Eastern power, water and waste water deals. Aside from utility deals, Kormuth has led clients on several key landmark mandates, including the upcoming dual listing of a regional power company, the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar and several airport privatization programs, among others.

Swarbrick focuses his practice on construction in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He advises developers, governments, lenders and contractors in relation to major oil and gas, renewable power, conventional power, water and wastewater projects, including some of the most complex and valuable construction projects in the market. In addition, Swarbrick has particular experience working on challenging or “frontier” jurisdictions, such as the Falkland Islands, Armenia, Congo, Gabon, Kurdistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
