LONDON – Bracewell (UK) LLP represented Matrix Renewables, the TPG-rise backed renewable energy platform, on its agreement with Green BESS Developments (UK) Limited to acquire two standalone battery energy system (BESS) projects in Scotland. The transaction marks Matrix’s entry into the UK market.
Upon completion of the transaction, Matrix will acquire the Eccles and Kilmarnock BESS projects, which will deliver a combined capacity of 1GW/2GWh once operational.
