Bracewell’s Vince Morgan reflected on the insurance industry in 2020 and looked at potential trends for 2021 with Insurance Coverage Law Center.
“COVID-19 claims will continue to be significant, as well as litigation arising out of the record 2020 hurricane season and wildfire destruction. There has been a substantial increase in cyberattacks due to ‘work from home’ policies, which will also potentially drive additional litigation over cyber-insurance issues,” said Morgan.
The Biden administration and climate change are also seen as driving lawsuits in the New Year.
