Brendan Derr focuses on general commercial litigation, internal investigations and white collar criminal defense. He has litigated complex commercial disputes involving contract, business torts, insurance coverage, construction, bankruptcy and fraud.
Brendan also represents individuals and companies in criminal and regulatory investigations involving securities laws and municipal laws. As part of his pro bono practice, he has assisted clients in resolving various landlord/tenant matters.

Private equity funds — litigation pending in federal court in California against the former officers and directors of a publicly traded company for breach of fiduciary duty in causing the failure of the company
Multinational construction company — represented a corporation in a multi-year fraud investigation conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office
Utility company — investigation by both the New York State Attorney General and the Governor's Moreland Commission regarding alleged misrepresentations concerning storm preparation and response to Hurricane Sandy and other recent storms
Board of directors of a power utility company — internal investigation on behalf of this client into allegations of corporate misconduct by the company
