Laura Sheldon Wins Corporate Rising Star Award at 2023 Women in Business Law Americas Awards

WASHINGTON, DC – Laura D. Sheldon, a partner in Bracewell LLP’s Washington, DC office, won the Corporate Rising Star Award at the 2023 Women in Business Law Americas Awards, held in New York City on June 8. Now in its 12th year, the annual awards program recognizes law firms in the Americas that are successfully advancing diversity and inclusion, as well as lawyers who have excelled in their practices.

Laura Sheldon, who was promoted to partner in 2022, advises companies on the sale, purchase, joint venture formation and development of solar assets, onshore and offshore wind assets, battery storage, carbon capture sequestration and fossil generation assets. In 2022, she was part of the Bracewell team that represented Invenergy and energyRe in forming a consortium of investors that secured one of six leases in the New York Bight offshore wind auction.
