About Suna

Suna Mirza’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial work throughout the Middle East and Europe with particular experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and investment funds, and general company advisory work. This representation includes advising global businesses with expanding their operations into the Middle East.

Suna's clients are drawn from numerous sectors, including private equity, retail and energy. She also has experience advising on the corporate law aspects of international energy projects, with a particular focus on the acquisition of independent power projects in the Middle East.

In addition, Suna has experience working as in-house counsel for a U.K. energy regulator, with a particular focus on electricity transmission.

Abdul Latif Jameel International — secondment with a particular focus on advising the Automotive and E-Commerce business divisions on a number of commercial arrangements including dealership arrangements throughout the Middle East, supply chain arrangements, trading and local law compliance issues, supply and purchase agreements, and various intellectual property matters

Alcazar Energy Partners — establishment of a renewable energy investment company in Dubai and the completion of the first round of funding with the International Finance Corporation, Mubadala Infrastructure Partners Limited, Gateway Fund, Dash Ventures, and Alcazar Renewable Energy as shareholders

Buyer — acquisition of two separate wind projects being procured pursuant to Jordan Round 1 wind renewable energy programme

Project company — restructuring of a power and water desalination project in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA) — Dubai license renewal, corporate governance and international corporate structure

Dover Corporation — establishment of a Dubai business division, including advising on employment arrangements for various employees

Shilton Sharpe Quarry — establishment of a recruitment business in the Dubai International Financial Centre

Dubai-based real estate company — restructuring and share transfers between the founding partners and investors
