Richard Chen advises clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestures and restructurings involving energy companies, specifically in the electric power and utility sectors. He has experience negotiating commercial, international and real estate agreements.
Prior to joining Bracewell, Richard served as in-house counsel for a publicly traded corporation where he handled mergers and acquisitions, real estate, international and general corporate matters.
While at the University of Michigan Law School, Richard was a judicial intern for the Justice James M. McGuire of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department, and was a research assistant to Professor James J. White.
