About Nellie

Nellie Connally focuses primarily on commercial litigation and business torts. She has experience defending and prosecuting in complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, products liability and lender liability, as well as personal injury and wrongful death cases. Nellie works closely with in-house teams to manage and prepare cases at all stages, from initial investigation to final judgment. She has represented clients in state court, federal court, appellate court and in arbitration.

Nellie is also an active participant in the community. She has been a member for almost five years of MD Anderson’s Advance Team, and is currently a member of the Menninger and River Oaks Baptist School boards.

Baker Hughes Incorporated — Equipment Performance Management, Inc. v. Baker Hughes, Inc. and Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations, Inc., in the U.S. District Court of Harris County, 190th Judicial District; lead counsel defending Baker Hughes against allegations of tortious interference with existing contracts and misappropriation of trade secrets; successfully obtained dismissal of all claims on summary judgment

Baker Hughes Incorporated — lead counsel in successful representation in numerous additional state court lawsuits, appellate proceedings and arbitrations

Liquidating trustee — lead associate in obtaining a final judgment in the amount of $107 million in a breach of contract case

Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. — lead litigation associate in civil litigation related to the Deepwater Horizon Blowout and Gulf Oil Spill; assisted on environmental and criminal issues throughout all phases of the related federal government investigation

Major Canadian, provincially-owned electric utility — associate on team representing client against claims of market manipulation, tariff violations, and other fraudulent and deceptive trade practices arising out of the 2000-2001 California Energy Crisis
