HOUSTON — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP trial lawyers secured a complete defense verdict on behalf of Bureau Veritas North America, Inc. (BVNA), a global testing and inspection firm, and Berryman & Henigar, Inc. (B&H), a BVNA subsidiary. The plaintiff sought damages based on alleged fraud, breach of contract and unjust enrichment arising from an asset purchase agreement pursuant to which B&H sold assets to the plaintiff.
After a seven day trial in New York Supreme Court before Judge Ira Gammerman, the jury’s verdict vindicated BVNA’s and B&H’s position that there was no fraud, breach of contract or unjust enrichment in connection with the transaction.
