Bracewell Represented Pilot Chemical Corp. in Acquisition of ATRP Solutions, Inc.

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP represented Pilot Chemical Corp. (Pilot) in the purchase of ATRP Solutions, Inc. (ATRP). Pilot Chemical is a privately owned and independent global specialty chemical company providing high-quality products and services to the household and industrial detergent, personal care, lubricant, oilfield, emulsion polymerization, disinfecting, and sanitizing industries. The acquisition expands Pilot’s proprietary technologies in the oil field chemicals, lubricant additives and paints and coatings markets.

ATRP Solutions, Inc. is a specialty polymer technology company, which has been in business for ten years and spun out of Carnegie Mellon University. ATRP utilizes controlled radical polymerization in its fully operational synthetic chemistry research facility and has developed a new class of proprietary rheology modifiers for oilfield and cosmetic markets.
