Bracewell Partner Warren Harris Honored with Texas Bar Foundation’s Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer Award

HOUSTON Bracewell LLP, a leading law and government relations firm, is pleased to announce that Partner Warren W. Harris is the 2017 recipient of the Texas Bar Foundation’s Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer Award. The award is given annually to a lawyer exhibiting an outstanding appellate practice, while maintaining a strong commitment to providing legal services for the underserved and mentoring young attorneys.

Harris, head of Bracewell’s appellate practice, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. He is the incoming president-elect of the Houston Bar Association, a past president of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society and a former chair of the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section. Chambers USA has recognized Harris’ work in every edition for appellate litigation since 2006, and he was named Best Lawyers’ 2014 Houston Lawyer of the Year - Appellate Practice.

Harris served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Texas and has served as an adjunct professor in appellate advocacy at the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Houston Law Center.
