LONDON – Bracewell (UK) LLP’s Oliver Irwin has been named a 2019 MVP for project finance by Law360. Irwin is among the 160 lawyers from 76 firms who have been honored as MVPs in their practices. Each will be profiled by Law360 in the coming weeks.
Since joining Bracewell’s London office in May 2018, Irwin has contributed to the growth of the firm’s award winning EMEA project finance practice. He advises lenders and sponsors on the development and financing of cross-border projects across a broad range of industries. He also has significant experience advising on multi-sourced project financings involving export credit agencies, multilaterals and development finance institutions.
Irwin is currently leading the Bracewell team advising Premier Oil and its joint venture partners in relation to the limited recourse financing of the multi-billion dollar Sea Lion offshore oil field development in the North Falkland basin. This is a high-profile, first-of-a-kind, multi-sourced project financing. Irwin is also currently advising lenders and sponsors on a number of high profile limited recourse financings of renewable power projects in the EMEA region.
