NEW YORK – In the Financial Times’ 2019 FT Innovative Lawyers North America report, Bracewell LLP was recognized for innovation in two areas of business law: technology and data, and diversity and inclusion.

Technology and Data – Highly Commended

Bracewell was among the leading law firms in the category for successfully implementing efficient technology and processes to securely review and analyze nearly 4 million items, including documents, data, emails, texts and audio, for privilege in connection with the government’s investigation of President Trump’s long-time lawyer, Michael Cohen. In addition, the firm created a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, to ensure the security of the information.

Diversity and Inclusion – Commended

Bracewell was commended for its leadership in the development of the industry-leading Minute Mentoring® program. Minute Mentoring® is a fast-paced mentoring session — akin to speed dating — for women leaders and young women rising stars. Since its founding in 2009, thousands of young professionals have benefited from the program.

The Financial Times and its research partner RSG Consulting annually publish the FT Innovative Lawyers North America Report to ranks legal service providers and in-house teams on innovation. In 2019, the Financial Times received over 350 submissions from 91 law firms and legal service providers and 103 in-house teams.
