AUSTIN – Bracewell LLP successfully defended Chemoil Corporation in multiple patent disputes against ProFuel, LLC pending in federal court in the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. As part of a confidential settlement agreement covering Chemoil’s patent rights to the zero-emission Gravity Fuel System®, ProFuel has agreed to halt its refueling operations that utilized a proprietary float valve assembly covered by Chemoil’s patent rights.
Chemoil, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Glencore plc, remains the sole exclusive licensee of multiple patents for refueling operations in North America.
