Partner Alan Albright spoke on “The Integration and Changing Landscape of Patent Litigation in the Eastern District of Texas” at the ACC Austin’s August CLE Luncheon.

The Eastern District of Texas draws national attention as it remains one of the most popular venues for patent suits. However, there are potential changes on the horizon with the introduction of new judges in two of the divisions, and new strategies for both plaintiffs and defendants in terms of how best to prosecute and how to defend these cases. Albright covered tactics such as IPRs, mandamus trends, and motions to transfer to help corporate counsel be prepared for this venue, as it is only a matter of time before you have to face the wild, wild east.
