Bracewell Represents Kinder Morgan in the Sale of a 50% Equity Interest in Southern Natural Gas to Southern Company

HOUSTON – Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI) announced a strategic venture pursuant to which The Southern Company will acquire from KMI a 50 percent equity interest in Southern Natural Gas (SNG). Inclusive of existing SNG debt, the transaction equates to an SNG total enterprise value of approximately $4.15 billion which implies a value of $1.47 billion for The Southern Company’s 50 percent share of the equity interest.
