Bracewell Named Infrastructure and Energy Projects Team of the Year at The Middle East Legal Awards 2017

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s Dubai office has been named by The Middle East Legal Awards 2017 as Infrastructure and Energy Projects Team of the Year. Winners are recognized for being innovators in their sector and for working on precedent-setting, game-changing projects and initiatives.

Bracewell was selected in large part for advising Alcazar Energy Partners on the project development and financing of the 82 MW Al Rajef Wind Power Project in Jordan. The Al Rajef Wind Power Project is not only one of the largest Jordanian renewables projects in both capacity and geographical footprint, it is also one of the first wind power projects to be developed under Jordan’s feed-in-tariff program. The Dubai team was supported by members of Bracewell’s London office on this project.

The Middle East Legal Awards was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, on May 11, 2017, and was attended by nearly 400 lawyers from in-house legal departments and private practice. The ceremony was jointly hosted by London-based business law news website Legal Week and the Association of Corporate Counsel Middle East Chapter, and supported by Legal Week’s sister title, The American Lawyer.

Bracewell was also shortlisted for Infrastructure and Energy Projects Team of the Year in 2016.
